As night shelters are at capacity, our low-barrier drop-in model bridges the gaps in services. For many, we are the first step in asking for help and starting to heal. Home for the Haven Unveiling
Tuesday, March 8 was International Women’s Day, and no better day to open our doors to Rose Haven’s new home. Nearly 1 year after signing our long-term lease, and 2 years since moving the majority of services outdoors, we have moved into our dream home at 1740 NW Glisan!
With the unwavering love and expertise of Gensler who provided pro bono design, architecture and project management valued at more than $250,000, this new location transforms our agency and allow us to positively impact the lives of thousands. With 10,000 sq. ft. we will double our capacity to serve and empower people with programs and resources. Most importantly, it brings our most marginalized neighbors back inside after years of enduring life outside during the pandemic.
Rose Haven is a day shelter built for and run by the community. Operating in this new space will increase expenses by 32% annually, yet it will expand our capacity and program offerings by 100%+. That’s an amazing return on investment, and this is just the beginning. Help us provide dignity for our guests by making a gift today!
Rose Haven News

Trauma Informed Design
Our new home for the haven represents the power of community. Everybody pitched in and did what they could, and we were able to transform an old wherehouse into a trauma informed space where people who are marginalized by their gender can heal. With the help of Gensler, a worldwide design and architecture firm who donated more than $250,000 worth of design work we created a place that provides our guests, staff, and volunteers the ideal layout to feel safe and feel dignified.
