Join us for a special screening of the award-winning
documentary, We Are All In This Together, on Tuesday, October
22 at Cinema 21 in Portland! The film traces Daniel Troia’s
cross-country bicycle journey with no food, no money and his
search for human connection.

Equipped with hidden camera glasses and a sign that says, “Ran
out of food. Anything helps”, Troia listens to stories from the
people who lend a helping hand and learns that those who face
the most adversity in their lives, often have the most to give.

Over the course of 7 months, Daniel encounters many different
experiences like trying to outrun a tornado in Kansas, running
out of water in the desert, nearly avoiding hypothermia in
Montana, and crossing the Sierras, Rockies and Appalachian
Mountain ranges.

This deeply captivating story, with soundtrack provided by
Portland’s indie rock band, Portugal. The Man, has received 19
awards at different film festivals across the world including,
“Best Humanitarian Film” at the San Francisco International
Film Awards, “Best Inspirational Film” at the New York International Film Awards and “Best Feature Documentary” at
the Chicago International Indie Film Festival.

“The division in our world has been so intense, and issues
around homelessness and food insecurity are so complex,”
Troia says, “but the people I met showed me that the one thing
we can control is how we treat each other. Every single day, we
have the opportunity to show up for someone who needs help.
On an individual level, this is where change really begins.”

50% of the ticket sales will be donated to Rose Haven shelter
and Daniel Troia will be holding a Q and A after the film.
