One of the largest issues that women who live on the streets have is how to communicate with social services and jobs. The use of a phone and receiving mail is something that most people take for granted in their lives. Rose Haven strives to make the lives of homeless women as barrier free as possible. One small way we try to accomplish that goal is by providing phone, voice mail and US mail service.
Voice Mail: This is a free service to our women. They can access their messages from anywhere using any phone.
Mailing Address: This can be used as a permanent address. Women can pick up their mail during Hospitality hours and on Thurs afternoon. We understand the safety and privacy of their mail and follow strict rules to ensure that the women’s mail is always safe.
Phone Use: We also have two phones in our community rooms that the women can use during hours that we are open for hospitality services to make local phone calls.
Copier and Fax: When a woman expresses a need for copies or to fax an item, a staff member will do this for her.
