Thank you for making the 2016 Reigning Rose Walk spectacular.
Rose Haven supporters near and far made the 3rd Annual Reigning Rose Walk a huge success. Donations came in from across the country, and more than 400 people gathered on Sunday, May 8th in NW Portland for the most special Mother’s Day ever.
Event participants delighted in a hosted reception with pastries, fruit and mimosas and enjoyed face painting, the photo booth, raffle prizes and pampering. Live entertainment was provided by Latin funk band, Sabroso, as well as a moving performance from singer, Holcombe Waller.
All participants received a red and white umbrella before heading out on a 5k stroll in NW Portland with stops along the way for popcorn, beverages and other giveaways from local merchants supporting the event. Participants returned to enjoy more live music from the Aurora Chorus, as well as treats from various bakeries and the pink Retrolicious food cart.

A record $93,000 was raised, and proceeds from this event will support 500 women and children for an entire year. Cost of services including food, clothing, advocacy and education for a whole year is only $189 per woman or child.
Rose Haven is so grateful to its sponsors and day of event in-kind donors for the spectacular food, entertainment and libations. A grant from the Maybelle Clark Macdonald Fund matching up to $25,000 in sponsor donations provided incentive for many local businesses including CareOregon, Guild Mortgage, Kaiser Permanente, Legacy Heath-Good Samaritan Medical Center, Markowitz Herbold, Portland Home Gal, Reimers & Jolivette, ShedRain, The Amico Group, and Windermere Foundation.
Thank you to everyone for sharing a most festive Mother’s Day with us. We are feelin’ the love!
